Integrated Yoga Instruction
Yoga is an ancient system of self-inquiry and self-mastery to the realization of enlightenment. The Eightfold Path of yoga is a philosophical system that includes practices to support mental, psychological and spiritual wellbeing.
My instruction combines years of practice and experience with asanas (physical postures), pranayama (breath work), dharana (meditation) and mantra as well as Advanced Teacher training in Yoga Psychology.
Blending ancient and modern wisdom and practices, I provide private and group instruction that charts a holistic course to for psychical health, emotional balance, personal growth and spiritual evolution.

Flow through postures (variations for different levels of practice offered) to first cleanse and rejuvenate the body. Followed by savasana, laying to rest your past.

Our inner voice can be our worst critic or our greatest ally. We have all found ourselves in times when we are struggling around a pattern of thoughts that exhaust or berate us. Often these are sourced from internalized ideas that we learned from family, society or cultural messaging. Initially, these messages may have acted to protect us from a true or perceived harm. However, many beliefs and "truths" about reality are temporary constructs that evolve over time as we gain greater life knowledge and experience. If constricting thoughts are not questioned or explored, however, what once protected us can become a hinderance to living a meaningful life that is aligned to our true, authentic selves.
In myths and fairy tales world wide - stories unpack this journey of self- discovery and demonstate how the aspect that once hindered us, with helpful mentors and resources, can transform into understanding, wisdom and ultimately our greatest gifts. These boons become a gift we offer ourselves, our family and our communities. As our birthright, we are all born with keen intuition that can ultimately support our wellbeing and bring us fulfillment. This inner guidance is a reflection of our soul's aspirations. As we live and grow, most of us are temporarily pulled away from living according to our inner guidance by conflicting messages or from the impact of formative experiences. When we are not living in accordance to what feels most true to our soul - our soul can nudge us, make us feel really uncomfortable, until we move the inner voice forward and evolve.
In this workshop, Machelle and I meaningfully blend storytellings, guided self-inquiry, mindfulness, meditation and themed yogic movement in order to unearth the voices you tend to habitually privilege, explore them and thus give rise to dialogue with the aspirations of your soul. We will engage several layers of techniques from yoga asana, group discussion, meditation, journaling and essential oil making in order to weave meaningful resources you can call on at any time in order to hear and tend the voice of your inner ally.
Previous yoga experience is recommended for the movement portion though not required and multiple variations to poses will be given to create the most supportive practice for each person.
